Small Hydro Pot

The wicking works fine but it needs a clear window near the bottom so that a person can see the water level.. I can bare see and have to get it in a light place that's just right to see the water level, so as to keep about a half an inch between the pots bottom and the water.

I have been using hydro pots for awhile now and I really like the ease of planting in them and the ease of watering with them. I use all sizes with all my streps.

I love the ease of taking care of my streps. They feed themselves and all I have to do is provide them with light and keep the pots filled with water.

~ I believe they are saving my Streptocarpus. I repoted a few in the Hydro Pots & a few in regular 2 1/2in plastic. The ones in the Hydro Pots are thriving & the others don’t look like they will make it. They seem to like the gentle wic watering system. One day I worried there were too wet. I took out of the outer plastic for a day & they dried fast. Nice to have that feature too. I plan on ordering more. . . Thank You

I found I could not use 2 your thick wicks hanging down in the water reservoir - made my African violet plants too wet. Then I found that just one of the very thick wicks was too much. All my violets had to be repotted using my usual thinner wicks. I hope they survive in these - an experiment.
